I am a fan of isometric illustrations. A lot of work goes into these to ensure every element is projected at 30 degrees. I learned this isn’t always possible in situations where there is a lot of detail.

Mapping Piccadilly Circus, Canary Wharf, and Shibuya Crossing as geographically accurate as possible was a real challenge.
